Midnight Current

Sold Out - Midnight Current is a one-of-a-kind light sculpture handcrafted from driftwood and built around a carved channel of glass and metallic blue epoxy. The illuminated center was designed to feel like a river running through the wood, while the blue epoxy finish gives the entire piece a darker, deeper look that catches light in a way the photos only partly show. In sunlight or under direct light, the surface picks up a subtle shimmer that brings out the blue even more.

At 31 inches tall, it works as both sculpture and ambient lighting. The customizable integrated LED system adds another layer once the piece is lit, giving the center channel a vivid glow that shifts with the light setting while keeping the river-like form front and center.

Like the other River Light pieces, this one was built with a dedicated internal lighting chamber, aluminum heat sinks, and built-in ventilation to help manage heat and support long-term performance.

The glass-filled center was finished with metallic blue epoxy, and the full outer surface was sealed in a matching blue epoxy finish for added protection, depth, and a more reflective final look. The result is a piece that feels darker, moodier, and more dramatic depending on the light around it.
